Why El Roi?

The name El Roi comes from Genesis 16:13 and means "The God Who Sees Me." In Genesis, Hagar found herself alone, afraid, and uncertain about her future. In the middle of her pain, God met her there. Hagar called Him El Roi, a name used only once in Scripture, because she realized she was not forgotten. She was seen, known, and cared for by God.

Many of us experience our own deserts in life. Seasons of pain, loss, anxiety, relationship struggles, or uncertainty can leave us feeling unseen, disconnected, and alone. Yet even in those difficult places, God sees us.

At El Roi Christian Counseling, I seek to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and valued. A place where healing, growth, and restoration can take place. I believe meaningful change happens within a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship built on honesty, compassion, and connection.

Faith can be integrated into counseling as much or as little as you desire. This is your journey. My role is to walk alongside you, offer support and encouragement, and help you move toward greater hope, healing, and wholeness.
